Makakilo Stake Vision
“That we may be one” (D&C 35:2)
"As individuals and families in the Makakilo Hawaii Stake, we strive to be united as one—one in faith, one in purpose, one in heart, and one in Jesus Christ—as we invite all of God’s children, on both sides of the veil, to come unto the Savior, make and keep sacred covenants, find enduring joy, and qualify for eternal life."

Stake Presidency Message
Aloha Brothers and Sisters,
As we welcome the month of April, we reflect with gratitude on the many meaningful experiences we shared together in March. We extend our sincere thanks to all who participated in the youth Pre-FSY events, the Relief Society Devotional and Dinner (video link), and the JustServe Fireside. Your faith, participation, and willingness to serve are deeply appreciated and continue to strengthen our stake and our community. We were also blessed to hold the Kalaeloa Ward Conference and the Waianae 2nd Branch Conference, both of which were inspiring and uplifting as we gathered in faith and unity.
March also brought forth change as we witnessed the reorganization of the Kalaeloa and Maili Kai ward bishoprics. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Fredricks and Bishop Suaava for their dedicated and Christlike service. We look forward with faith and confidence as Bishop Chun and Bishop Samuelu begin their service, and we sustain them in their leadership with love and support.
March pictures and video can be found on our Makakilo Stake Website
We also found special meaning in our Palm Sunday worship, as we turned our hearts toward the Savior and began reflecting on His sacred Atonement. This season invites us to come closer to Jesus Christ and to remember the love He has shown each of us.
This weekend, we are blessed with the opportunity to hear from living prophets and apostles during General Conference on April 4 and April 5. We invite all members and families to make time to watch, listen, and learn.
General Conference can be viewed in several ways:
On the Church website: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org
Through the Gospel Library app
On YouTube (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints channel)
Via BYUtv or local broadcast options
As we focus on Easter and the Savior’s Atonement, General Conference provides a powerful opportunity to draw closer to Him. As we listen with open hearts, we will receive guidance, comfort, and personal revelation that can strengthen us in our daily lives.
We invite each of you to set aside time this weekend, individually or with your family, to watch General Conference and learn more of your Savior, Jesus Christ. As you do, we promise you will feel His love more deeply and gain greater peace and direction.
We also invite you to join us in praying daily for the Honolulu Temple during your 6:00 a.m. prayers. Please pray that the temple’s building permits, construction, planning, organization, and acceptance by the community, city, and state will move forward with little to no resistance. Pray that any attempts by the adversary to hinder or delay its progress will be unsuccessful. Pray that hearts will be softened and that there will be understanding, unity, and support for this sacred house of the Lord.
We testify that as we unite our faith in this effort, the Lord will open the way and that His purposes will be fulfilled.
We express our love and aloha to each of you and pray that this Easter season will be filled with hope, joy, and a deeper connection to our Savior.
