Makakilo Stake Vision
“That we may be one” (D&C 35:2)
"As individuals and families in the Makakilo Hawaii Stake, we strive to be united as one—one in faith, one in purpose, one in heart, and one in Jesus Christ—as we invite all of God’s children, on both sides of the veil, to come unto the Savior, make and keep sacred covenants, find enduring joy, and qualify for eternal life."

Stake Presidency Message
Aloha Brothers and Sisters,
As we begin the month of June, we reflect with gratitude on the many blessings we received during Stake Conference. What a sacred and uplifting experience it was to gather together under the theme "Jesus is the Way." Throughout the conference, we felt the Spirit testify of the Savior and His love for each of us. We witnessed the unity of our stake, felt strengthened by inspired messages, and were reminded that Jesus Christ is indeed the way to lasting peace, happiness, and eternal life.
We express our sincere appreciation to all who spoke during Stake Conference. Thank you for your prayerful preparation, your willingness to share your testimonies, and your faithful examples of discipleship. Your messages touched hearts and strengthened faith throughout our stake.
We also extend our gratitude to all who participated in our Stake JustServe Service Project and Stake Temple Day. Through your service and sacrifice, you helped create opportunities for us to prepare spiritually and draw closer to the Savior. Whether through serving others, worshipping in the temple, or gathering in conference, we felt the Lord's love and guidance.
As we move forward, we pray that we will not simply remember Stake Conference as an event, but that we will remember and act upon the impressions, feelings, and invitations we received. As disciples of Jesus Christ, may we accept the invitations extended in Stake Conference to:
• Feast upon the words of Christ every day.
• Make an active effort to tarry with the Lord in Sacrament Meeting.
• Give 1% of your day to the Lord — just 15 minutes dedicated to prayer, scripture study, reflection, or service.
As we faithfully act on these invitations, we promise that our faith will grow, our homes will be strengthened, and we will feel the Savior's influence more fully in our lives.
This month we turn our attention to one of the Lord's greatest blessings and responsibilities: our families. In a world where families face increasing challenges and pressures, the truths found in "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" continue to provide divine guidance, protection, and hope.
We invite each individual and family to study, discuss, and apply the principles found in the Proclamation. As we do so, we strengthen our homes, deepen our relationships, and build a foundation centered on Jesus Christ.
To support our study this month, we encourage you to read and ponder the following messages:
• "The Family-Centered Gospel of Jesus Christ" — President Dallin H. Oaks
• "The Family Proclamation—Words from God" — Elder Ronald A. Rasband
• "The Plan and the Proclamation" — President Dallin H. Oaks
As we remember the sacred importance of family, may we renew our commitment to love, serve, teach, forgive, and strengthen those Heavenly Father has placed in our care. Whether your family is large or small, near or far, complete or still growing, the Lord's promises regarding families are sure. As we center our homes on Jesus Christ, He will help us find greater unity, joy, and peace.
Brothers and Sisters, thank you for your faith, your service, and your devotion to the Savior. We love you and pray that as we focus on strengthening our families this month, the Lord will bless your homes with increased love, understanding, and spiritual power.
