Makakilo Stake Vision
“That we may be one” (D&C 35:2)
"As individuals and families in the Makakilo Hawaii Stake, we strive to be united as one—one in faith, one in purpose, one in heart, and one in Jesus Christ—as we invite all of God’s children, on both sides of the veil, to come unto the Savior, make and keep sacred covenants, find enduring joy, and qualify for eternal life."

Stake Presidency Message
Aloha Brothers and Sisters,
As we reflect on the month of February, we do so with gratitude for the many ways the Lord continues to bless our stake. The saints in the Palehua and Maili Kai wards were uplifted and edified through their ward conferences. These sacred gatherings strengthened testimonies, brought unity, and provided inspired direction for individuals and families.
Although the weather required us to cancel our Ka'ala Farms youth service project, we recognize the Lord’s hand in all things. We look forward to rescheduling this meaningful opportunity for our youth to serve and grow together. Thank you for your flexibility and continued enthusiasm in supporting the rising generation.
We also express sincere appreciation for your continued participation in the work of salvation and exaltation. Whether through temple worship, ministering, missionary efforts, family history, or strengthening your homes, your quiet and consistent discipleship is building the kingdom of God in powerful ways.
As we move into March, our focus turns to the theme:
Strength to Overcome the World As We Follow the Prophet
The Lord has declared, “Whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same” (Doctrine and Covenants 1:38). He has also promised that as we give heed to prophetic counsel, we will not be moved from our place (Doctrine and Covenants 21:4–6). In a world filled with noise and uncertainty, the living prophet provides clarity, safety, and spiritual strength.
We invite you to prayerfully study and ponder the following messages this month:
Divine Helps for Mortality – President Dallin H. Oaks
Coming Closer to Jesus Christ - President Dallin H. Oaks
The Heart of a Prophet – Elder Gary E. Stevenson
Prophets Speak by the Power of the Holy Spirit – Elder Ulisses Soares
We invite each member of the stake to identify one specific piece of recent prophetic counsel and apply it more fully in your life this month. It may relate to daily prayer, Sabbath observance, temple worship, family relationships, or sharing the gospel. As you intentionally follow the prophet, we promise you will feel greater spiritual confidence, increased protection from worldly influences, and strength to overcome challenges with faith in Jesus Christ.
We are also excited to share the many uplifting opportunities ahead in March. We encourage you to participate fully in the upcoming activities and events that have been planned. As we come together in unity, our faith will be strengthened and our love for one another will deepen.
