Makakilo Stake Vision
“That we may be one” (D&C 35:2)
"As individuals and families in the Makakilo Hawaii Stake, we strive to be united as one—one in faith, one in purpose, one in heart, and one in Jesus Christ—as we invite all of God’s children, on both sides of the veil, to come unto the Savior, make and keep sacred covenants, find enduring joy, and qualify for eternal life."

Stake Presidency Message
Aloha Brothers and Sisters,
As we begin a new year, we reflect with gratitude on the many sacred moments we experienced together in December. Our Stake Christmas Devotional reminded us of the light and hope found in the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Stake Conference was a powerful opportunity to receive inspired counsel and feel unity as a stake. We were also sobered and united in mourning the passing of President Jeffrey R. Holland. His testimony of Jesus Christ will continue to bless generations.
As we look back on 2025, we recognize the many blessings the Lord has poured out upon us both seen and unseen. We are grateful for what we have accomplished together, and we humbly acknowledge areas where we can improve, grow, and draw closer to the Savior. As we step into 2026, this is an exciting and hopeful time to set inspired goals and Christ-centered resolutions that help us more fully come unto Christ.
January Theme: “Walk with Me”
Our January theme invites each of us into a more intentional, daily relationship with the Savior. To “walk with Him” means choosing Him consistently—in our prayers, our decisions, our homes, and our service. The Lord lovingly invites us:
“And thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore, walk with me.” (Moses 6:34)
As we learn of Him and listen to His words, He promises peace:
“Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me.” (Doctrine & Covenants 19:23)
We invite you to prayerfully study the following talks this month:
“Be of Good Cheer” – President Dallin H. Oaks
“Walk with Me” – President Henry B. Eyring
“Drawing the Power of Jesus Christ into Our Lives” – President Russell M. Nelson
As you intentionally choose to walk with the Savior this month, we promise greater peace, clearer direction, and increased spiritual strength to face life’s challenges with faith and hope.
