Makakilo Stake Vision
“That we may be one” (D&C 35:2)
"As individuals and families in the Makakilo Hawaii Stake, we strive to be united as one—one in faith, one in purpose, one in heart, and one in Jesus Christ—as we invite all of God’s children, on both sides of the veil, to come unto the Savior, make and keep sacred covenants, find enduring joy, and qualify for eternal life."

Stake Presidency Message
Aloha Brothers and Sisters,
We pray this message finds you well.
As we reflect on the month of April, we do so with gratitude for the many spiritual experiences that strengthened our faith and testimony of Jesus Christ. General Conference was a sacred blessing, providing inspired counsel from living prophets and apostles. We hope each of you were able to feel the Savior’s love and receive personal guidance as you listened and studied these messages. We thank you for your continued faith, devotion, and service in the Lord’s work.
During the month of April, we also witnessed the reorganization of the Nanakuli Bishopric. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Crisanto, Brother Nakata, and Brother Rowland for their faithful and dedicated service. Their Christlike leadership has blessed many lives. We warmly welcome Bishop Tiave, Brother Patrick, and Brother Acasio as they begin their service in the Nanakuli Ward, and we sustain them with our love, prayers, and full support.
We are pleased to invite you to save the date for our upcoming Makakilo Hawaii Stake Conference, which will be held on Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, 2026.
The theme of this Stake Conference is “Jesus is the Way.” As we gather together, the purpose of this sacred meeting is to strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ. Through worship, counsel, and unity, we will be spiritually uplifted and guided as we continue to press forward with faith in Him.
Invitations have been provided to your Bishop or Branch President. We encourage you to take one and share it with a ministering family or someone who may not have received the announcement.
To help us prepare, we invite you to study and ponder the following messages:
“Coming Closer to Jesus Christ” — President Dallin H. Oaks
“The Character of Christ” — Elder D. Todd Christofferson
We also invite all members to further prepare by participating in a Stake Temple Day at the Laie Hawaii Temple on Friday, May 29, 2026. President Dallin H. Oaks taught that the temple is the most sacred place on earth, where we can feel closest to our Heavenly Father and the Savior and receive the greatest spiritual strength available to us.
As we worship in the temple, we will strengthen our unity as a stake and draw nearer to the Lord. If you plan to attend, please sign up here. If you are unable to attend that day, we invite you to set aside another time during that week to worship, ponder, and pray in the house of the Lord.
Brothers and Sisters, we are grateful for each of you and for your faith and devotion to the Lord and His work. We look forward to worshipping, learning, and serving together as we prepare for these sacred experiences. We invite each of you to come prayerfully prepared to Stake Conference, seeking personal revelation and guidance for your life and family. Consider setting aside time to ponder your questions, study the scriptures, and attend with a heart ready to receive. As you do, we promise that the Spirit will speak to you, your faith will be strengthened, and you will feel the Savior’s love more fully.
