Aloha Brothers and Sisters,
September was a sacred and memorable month for the Makakilo Hawaii Stake. Together, we focused on “Now is the time to prepare for the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.” Through temple worship, ministering, fasting, and gathering as priesthood brethren, we strengthened our discipleship and grew in unity. Mahalo to each of you for your faith, prayers, and service.
This past month also brought tender moments as we honored the life of our beloved prophet, President Russell M. Nelson. His prophetic guidance has blessed us individually and collectively. He taught us about the temple, the gathering of Israel, the power of personal revelation, and the joy of keeping covenants. His service was marked by love, clarity, and urgency as he prepared us for the days we now live in.
While we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the eternal truth that prophets are called of God. President Nelson’s teachings remain a guiding light for us, and we honor him by living what he taught turning our lives to Jesus Christ, strengthening our spiritual foundations, and hastening the gathering of Israel.
Looking Forward: General Conference
We now look forward to October with faith and anticipation to General Conference, a sacred opportunity to hear the word of the Lord through His chosen servants. What a blessing it is to know that the Lord continues to guide His Church in these latter days.

Prepare your heart and your home
Pray for personal inspiration before and during the conference.
Invite friends and family to watch with you and share in the blessings of the messages.
Take notes and set goals as you act on the promptings you receive.
As we prepare for and participate in General Conference, we promise that the Lord will speak to you in deeply personal ways. Answers to your prayers will come. Direction for your families will be given. Peace and hope in Christ will fill your homes.
Mahalo nui for your faith and love. May October be a month of revelation, renewal, and re-commitment as we follow the counsel of living prophets and prepare for the glorious return of our Savior.

The Stake Presidency will be doing Temple Recommend Renewal Interviews on a first come first serve basis during the following dates and times:
Sunday, October 12th, 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Sunday, October 19th, 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Sunday, October 26th, 5:00pm - 6:00pm
